Physical Sciences Inc., located just north of Boston in Andover, is looking for a scientific programmer with a strong background in physics or one of the physical sciences. Hands-on experience in the implementation of algorithms, real-time operating systems, and the control of optically-based sensor systems is highly desirable. A Master’s degree with two years’ experience or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ experience are considered ideal. Practical experience that was part of the degree process such as senior or thesis project is acceptable.

Aerospace Mechanical Engineer

The successful candidate will work with a small team of scientists and engineers to develop advanced concepts for a range of applications. Image/Sensor Analytics Scientist/Engineer

This business unit develops hardware and algorithm-based detection systems for radiological and special nuclear materials.

Laser Physicist

Q-Peak - Boston, MA

Q-Peak has opportunities for laser physicists/engineers working on technical activities related to contract research and development of new diode-pumped solid state (bulk and fiber) lasers, laser systems and/or associated nonlinear optics. Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated record of independent achievement in laser and nonlinear optics design, engineering, and construction. Experience and/or interest in developing new contract efforts is highly desired.

Opto-Mechanical Engineer
